After 28 years, Piano bar has moved to a new location at Koubkova 15, Prague 2. This move brings us closer to the city center and even closer to you.

Following a complex and complete renovation, we opened our doors on November 3, 2023. The new venue is a modern replica of the original bar in Milešovská Street; by using the original furniture and decorations within a nearly identical layout, we’ve managed to preserve its unique atmosphere. As a bonus, the interior now spans two floors and includes an outdoor terrace.

All your favorite events remain on the program: Drag shows, Sunday Bingo, "Stage is Yours" karaoke nights, and the popular Piano Quiz.

Piano Bar boasts over 25 years of history, making it one of the oldest venues of its kind in the Czech Republic. The space originally served as a bakery in the Žižkov district and later as a dance hall. More than 25 years ago, it was transformed into a night bar where LGBT people of all ages from across Prague could gather.

In the summer of 2016, the bar underwent a major renovation, though its original character and mission remained: to create a place where you feel comfortable and love to return. We believe that, together with you, we have succeeded.

We regularly host a wide variety of events, including Drag Shows, Piano Quiz, the Stage is Yours karaoke night, the Kecy k věci talk show, and our legendary Sunday Bingo.

Thanks to its prime location between Jiřího z Poděbrad Square and the Žižkov TV Tower, Piano Bar is easily accessible from all parts of Prague and sits right in the heart of the action, just steps away from other popular spots on Vinohradská Street.

Below you can see the original look of Piano Bar before our intervention in the summer of 2016. The establishment was a typical example of a "homey" and "traditional" pub, showing the wear and tear of its 20-year history. The venue was characterized by a large amount of vintage decor and paintings featuring male nudes.
